One reason people may not have as easy a time working out in the morning is that, if they begin their exercise routine too early, their spine has not had enough time to regain its typical viscosity that it has throughout the day.

Trinity slipped disc

As people sleep in a horizontal position, the discs between the vertebrae expand and retain more fluids during the night, which results in a stiffer, less flexible, less mobile spine in the morning upon waking.

Chesapeake pain treatment

Therefore, it is best for most people to wait at least one hour after getting out of bed to begin exercising or stretching, and two hours may be even more advisable for people with a history of back pain or injury.
